If you are going to eat red meat it is best to eat the best you can find and afford. My wife has been on a kick after reading several articles about the dangers of commercial beef processing and that grass fed certified organic is healthier, tastes better and is more humane where cattle feed in grass pastures.  We do not eat a lot of steak/red meat but when we do we are going to source local organic farms and make sure to purchase grass fed. No added hormones, antibiotics or pesticides.  Yes, it is more expensive but it does taste better and is healthier for you.

It is officially spring! and this was the first meal I have cooked outside on the grill. The steak was served with Sautéed mushrooms, onions and fresh broccoli as sides. Enjoy!

Ingredients

10-12 oz ribeye steak

Salt and pepper or a seasoning of your choice

Cooking Directions

1. Heat grill to medium high

2. Season with salt and pepper (I used cracked pepper)

3. Cook 4-5 each side (I cooked to medium which should reach 140° F with a digital thermometer)

4. Remove steaks from grill and let rest 5 minutes before serving.
